Every participating country has a panel of judges consisting of recognized international professionals within the construction industry and representatives from prestigious academic institutions, as well as public agencies and NGO’s.

The Panel of Judges for the International Edition is made up of an Honorary Panel whose participation has no term, and by a Guest Panel, made up of architects and engineers who are changed for each edition. All are governed by a President who is selected from amongst the members of the Honorary Panel of Judges, same who is different for each edition.

The participation of all the members of the Panel of Judges is totally unbiased, not remunerated, and without any other guideline from CEMEX that goes beyond that of an invitation to independently evaluate each project according to the corresponding attributes of each category.

Deliberation Process Photo Galleries

The deliberation process is performed over three days. The jury is assembled to assess participating projects from the Mexico and International Editions. The jury meets in groups by category, and at the end of each work session winning projects are exhibited. During the first two days the registered projects are evaluated in Mexico, followed by an evaluation of the winners of all the country editions (including Mexico) to choose the “grand prize” winners of the international edition.
